Events for Our Members

It is our goal to organize a number of events throughout the semester. We are very open to ideas and suggestions from our membership for possible events. Please contact us if you have an event you would like to be sponsored by the MGSA.

Friday Teas

Once the semester has gone under way, the Friday Teas start. Every Friday, members of the department organize the departmental tea at 4:15 pm in SEO 300. In the beginning of the semester, people sign up in pairs to host tea. Most people do it once per year.

Ping Pong League

Our department culture is strong, but our pong culture is stronger. Every semester there is a graduate student-only or department-wide ping pong league that culminates in a final tournament. An incomplete history and current records is here: pong.
